Meet the Owner: Julie Lancaster

Hi, my name is Julie and I’m the proud owner of Oxenford NumberWords'nWords. Over the years my career changed direction from Human Resources Manager to Teacher. I have a Bachelor of Education and a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.

I started teaching in 2006 in Australia and have been fortunate enough to teach students ranging from Prep through to Year 9. I have also worked in Learning Support, Special Education and as a Literacy and Numeracy Coach. I have a passion for learning, and I like to inspire the same in students.

I was born and raised in the North West of England and moved out to Australia with my husband in 1999 after we had spent 10 months travelling around the country in 1993/1994. We have two grown children, who were born in Australia and are now embarking on their own career paths, I am very proud of both of them.

When I am not working, I enjoy going out for a motorbike ride, sometimes on my own but generally with my husband, staying active at the gym, socialising, watching television to unwind, travelling, eating out and making cards.
