Meet the Manager: Julia Mammone

Hi! My name is Julia Mammone and I am the Manager here at NumberWorks'nWords, Baulkham Hills. I have always had a passion for teaching and learning and knew from a very young age that I wanted to become a teacher. I was often told that I was “made to be a teacher” and I believe that wholeheartedly as there is nothing else I see myself doing in life. I have worked in education from a very young age. I started out as an English and Maths tutor for many years before completing my Bachelor of Education (Primary) in 2014.
I worked in the Catholic Education System for 5 years, teaching stages 1-3. During that time, I was involved in many extracurricular coaching such as debating, public speaking, netball and ‘Mathletics' training.
I am so honoured to now be a part of the NumberWorks'nWords team as I can use my training in an alternative setting and bring my experience to this wonderful community. What I love the most about this centre is the rapport the students are able to build with their tutors. There is nothing more powerful in life than positive relationships. There is a wonderful respect and appreciation between staff and students as we unlock their potential and build their confidence through individualised programming and strategic planning. Number Works really encapsulates everything I believe in as an educator. No two children are the same, nor learn in the same way. Therefore, it is our obligation to ensure that each student feels valued and knows that their individual needs are being met. That is truly at the heart of what we do here and the key to our success.
If you have any queries about your child and our ability to help them reach their academic goals, please do not hesitate to contact us, or even better, drop by and see our amazing centre for yourself! I am always willing to spend the time to ensure families receive thorough feedback reports on their child's progress and offer honest insights into how we can work together to unlock your child's full potential.
